Our 2011 Transports

This year Safe Haven volunteers have transported our Life Preserver dogs to Vermont No Kill shelters. Some of the dogs transported are shown in photos below.  The dogs are quickly adopted in Vermont, where the demand for shelter dogs often exceeds the supply, due to proactive spay/neuter programs.

Hope - calm and soulful male Lab

Bin 66, owned by Tom Poor, Safe Haven Board of Directors, sponsored mellow Hope.  Brandt and Linda Chi also sponsored Hope.   Hope was a stray who was hit by a car and picked up by Animal Control.  We saved him from being put down and got reconstructive surgery for his fractured pelvis.  He was nursed back to health by his foster Mom and now can walk.
