$100+ Donors in 2011

On this page, Safe Haven honors our 2011 donors of $100 and over. We are grateful for every dollar donated to Safe Haven. At the same time, we greatly need larger donations now that we are planning to open and operate our building in 2011.

The major donation to Safe Haven this year is given in memory of Marcy May by Jim Solley, her devoted partner for 35 years, A dog room in the sanctuary will be named in memory of Marcy May, who rescued abused, abandoned dogs and gave them new lives full of love and happiness. This generous donation of $25,000 will be used for the life-saving medical care of Safe Haven dogs. (click for more information) One of our Life Preserver dogs was sponsored in memory of Marcy May - Fawn, a brindle Pit Bull mix. who is now in her forever home. We are also grateful to Terry Wilkerson for his generous gifts this year of $20,000 for the building and $200 to sponsor two of our Life Preserver dogs. As a major donor, Mr. Wilkerson will be naming the Volunteer Meeting Room in our building. Mr. Wilkerson is one of our most dedicated volunteers, so we think it is wonderful that he will be naming that room. The Volunteer Meeting Room is a very important room because of the high value we place on our volunteers and the work they do to help animals.
